Naval Defence
An explosion inside
a ship results in a huge overpressure, fragments and the
spread of fire. The size of the damage
and danger can be significantly reduced, not only by improving
the structure of the ship (transverse bulkheads) but also
by using Blast Resistant WT membrane doors.
For these specific demands Van Dam developed their NADAM
4 series, Blast Resistant membrane doors for naval
applications. |
 |
The Van Dam NADAM 4:
- High blast resistance with a design
of medium weight
- Independent qualification test by QinetiQ,
UK (former DERA)
- Pressure resistance more than 1000 kPa
step load (20 bar static)
- Explosion resistance at least
10 times higher compared to a conventional door of the
same weight
- Watertight
- Central closing mechanism
